Lotus Evija, a more limited and powerful all-electric supercar, is on line
Lotus commemorates the legendary Brazilian racing driver, Emerson Fittipaldi, who won the Formula One championship in 1972, with the introduction of the special model ——Evija Fittipaldi. The Norfolk-based automaker continues the pure driving spirit of its founder, Colin Chapman, in pursuit of the ultimate lightweight body of the car and driving experience.
“Adding power makes you faster on the straights, subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.” ——COLIN CHAPMAN
Exterior
Evija Fittipaldi has adopted gull wing door design and telescopic camera rearview mirror. The most striking thing on Evija Fittipaldi is obviously the two huge air inlets on the side of the car body and the two equally huge air outlets on the rear of the car. These are Lotus's "Carved By Air" concept, which uses exaggerated aerodynamic design to provide sufficient downforce for the car body to maintain its performance and stability during high-speed driving.
The painting of Evija Fittipaldi draws on the design concept of the F1 racing car Lotus 72 driven by Emerson Fittipaldi in the championship year, and uses the iconic black painting and golden lines as the main color of the car body. In addition, Lotus has also added more championship elements to the details of the exterior of the car body, such as the number "8" on the B-pillar is the number of the car that won the championship in 1972, and the stamp on the rear wing to celebrate Lotus's championship this season.
Interior
Evija Fittipaldi continues the design inspiration of Lotus 72, using a large number of black leather and gold stitching. In addition, the pedals, the air outlet of the air conditioner, the start/stop button, and the driving mode switch knob are all made of conspicuous gold. The dashboard is also sewn with Emerson Fittipaldi's signature.
Power and Endurance
Evija Fittipaldi is driven by pure electric power. Evija's four electric motors can provide up to 2,000 horsepower and a torque of 1,704 nm. Evija can complete the acceleration of 0-100km/h in only 2.9 seconds and complete the acceleration of 0-300km/h in 9.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 350km/h. However, in pursuit of extreme lightweight, Evija is destined not to install too many battery packs, resulting in only 346 kilometers of range.
According to currently known information, Evija Fittipaldi will only produce eight vehicles, and all of them have been scheduled and are expected to be delivered to customers gradually next year.
